5x + 10y = 7

We will convert it to slope-intercept form y = mx + c, and the coefficient of x will give us the slope of the line

10y = - 5x + 7

y = (-5/10)x + (7/10)

Comparing it to y = mx + c

 Slope= \frac{-5}{10}= \frac{-1}{2}
