when  \theta < 90^0  ( i.e concave meniscus) then, In this case, Liquid wets the solid surface

and when  \theta > 90^0  ( i.e Convex meniscus) then, In this case, Liquid does not wet the solid surface.

When Wax is coated on the inner wall of a capillary tube then water loses its ability to wet the sides of the tube.

So \theta \ will \ increase

and as

 h=\frac{2T\cos \Theta }{\rho gr}

i.e  h \ \ \alpha \ cos \theta so h will decrease
