Terminal velocity will be positive.

Spherical body attains constant  velocity in downward direction.     

 

 v_{T}=\frac{2}{9}\frac{\left ( \rho -\sigma \right )}{\eta }r^{2}g

\therefore v_{T} is downward only if \rho >\sigma
