- wherein

m = Mass of water 

c = Specific heat of water

\Delta \theta=Temperature

 

 Thermal energy produced 

= change in kinetic energy 

= 1/2 m (v_{2}^2{}- v_{1}^{2})\\\\

 1/2 \times 0.1 \times (100-25) = 3.75 J
