According to histogen theory, stem epidermis is derived from
Calyptrogen
Dermatogen
Protoderm
Periblem
As we learned
Histogen theory -
According to Histogen (1870), The root and shoot apices are distinguished in to three meristematic regions or three layers of Histogen cells.(Histogen Theory).
1- Dermotogen - Outer most single layer of cells of forms uniseriate epidermis by anticlinal division
2- Periblem - Situated just below the dermatogen and cortex (hypodermis endodermis and cortex).
3- Plerome - Innermost region, stele formation takes place by division of these cells.
