Catalytic cycle of an enzyme -

1-  Substract binds to active site of enzyme.

2-  The active site of enzyme, breaks the chemical bonds of the substrate and new enzyme - product complex is formed.

3- The enzyme releases the products of reaction and free enzyme is ready to bind another molecule of the substrate.
