An axon, also known as a nerve fibre in vertebrates, is a long, slender projection of a nerve cell, or neuron, that releases electrical impulses known as action potentials distant from the body of the nerve cell. The function of the axon is to transmit information between muscles, neurons, and glands. A nerve is made up of a bundle of nerve fibres. This bundle is known as fasciculi.
A nerve is surrounded by epineurium, a connective tissue layer. Perineurium, which is connective tissue, covers a fasciculus. Endoneurium surrounds each nerve fibre within the nerve. All thye parts are correctly labelled. Hence option A is correct.
Part A is not correctly labelled. Hence option B is incorrect.
Part B and C are not correctly labelled. Hence option C is incorrect.
All the parts are incorrectly labelled. Hence option D is incorrect.
