The deviation produced by first mirror =180-2 \mathrm{i}_{1}  and the deviation produced by second mirror =180-2 \mathrm{i}_{2}.
\text { The total deviation is } 180^{\circ} \text { as MP and QN are anti parallel }

\text { So, } 180^{\circ}=360^{\circ}-2\left(\mathrm{i}_{1}+\mathrm{i}_{2}\right)

\therefore \quad \mathrm{i}_{1}+\mathrm{i}_{2}=\theta=90^{\circ}
