Pollen tubes  extend from stigma to ovary for male gamete transfer. 

Double fertilisation is an event that involves fusion of one male gamete with egg to form zygote and the other male gamete with two polar nuclei to form primary endosperm nucleus ( PEN). Pollen tubes play a very important role in double fertilisation by transferring the male gamete to the ovule .Option 3 is the correct answer.
