Amino acids are deaminated and transformed into pyruvate and other Krebs cycle intermediates.

On deamination, they enter the cycle and are metabolized, for example,

Alanine is converted to Pyruvate,

Glutamate to alpha-Ketoglutarate

Aspartate to Oxaloacetate.

Fatty acids undergo β-oxidation to produce Acetyl CoA, which enters the Krebs cycle.

Option 3 is the correct answer.
