Embryo is most important part of seed which represent future of plant. Embryo is having a main axis, called tigellum, through which one or two cotylednous are attached. The point below the attachment of cotylednous is called hypocotyl. which bears radicle or future root at its tip. The above portion of the attachment is called epicotyl & bears plumule of future shoot of the plant.
