All spinal nerves have both sensory and motor components, therefore spinal nerves are called mixed nerves and  each spinal nerve has an efferent and afferent nerve fibres. Each spinal nerve separates into anterior and posterior branches.  after passing through an intervertebral foramen (hole).

Statement 2 - Brachial plexuses is the joining of spinal nerves which connects chest and arm region. The Brachial plexus is formed by the vertebral column C5-C8-T1 spinal nerves, and lower and upper halves of C4 and T2 spinal nerves. The plexus extends toward the armpit.  

Option 1 is the correct answer.
