Total 5 nuclei are involved in double fertilisation because double fertilisation is an event that involves fusion of one male gamete with egg to form zygote and the other male gamete with two polar nuclei to form primary endosperm nucleus ( PEN). Hence a total of 5 haploid nuclei are involved in double fertilisation.During double fertilisation, the PEN ( Primary Endosperm Nucleus) develops into the endosperm.

Option 2 is the correct answer
