Magnesium perchlorate (anhydrone) has strong affinity for water giving \mathrm{Mg}\left(\mathrm{ClO}_{4}\right)_{2} \cdot 6 \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}. It loses whole of water when heated at 250^{\circ} \mathrm{C} and drying property is regenerated.
