Intensity due to a point source I\; \alpha \; x^{2}

Loudness L=10\; \log \frac{I}{I_{0}}

\therefore L_{1}-L_{2}=10\; \log \frac{I}{I_{0}}-10 \log \frac{I_{2}}{I_{0}}

120-100=10\; \log\left [ \frac{I_{1}}{I_{2}} \right ]\Rightarrow \frac{I_{1}}{I_{2}}=10^{2}

\frac{x_{2}^{2}}{x_{1}^{2}}=100\Rightarrow x_{2}=30 m
