when all surfaces are smooth the two blocks will accelerate. If ' a ' be the acceleration then,
\begin{aligned} & 10 \times 9.8-T=10 a \\ & \text { and }\ T=2 a \\\ & \frac{98-T}{T}=\frac{5}{1} \\\ & 98-T=5 T \\\ & T=\frac{98}{6}=16.33 \mathrm{~N} \end{aligned}
Now,\ when\ 2 \mathrm{~kg}\ is\ glued, \\ T=10 \times 9.8=98 \mathrm{~N}
\therefore Tension in string increases when 2 \ kg black is glued.
