As we have learnt,

Steam Distillation 

This method is used to separate substances which are steam volatile and are immiscible with water.

e.g. Ortho-nitrophenol and Para-nitrophenol

Ortho nitrophenol is steam volatile because it has weaker intermolecular forces of attraction due to intramolecular H bonding.

Para nitrophenol is less steam volatile due to stronger intermolecular forces of attraction existing due to intermolecular H bonding.

Hence, the correct answer is Option (2)
