A mixture of iron nails, salt, oil and water can be separated by the following steps:

  • Hand pick the iron nails or can be removed by magnet..
  • Oil can be removed by decantation method or separating funnel.
  • Evaporate the salt and water solution by evaporation. Water can be condensed back and the salt is left behind.
