                     (iii) (-2,-3), (3,2), (-1,-8)

Area of the triangle by the determinant method:

Area\ \triangle = \frac{1}{2} \begin{vmatrix} -2 &-3 &1 \\ 3& 2 & 1\\ -1& -8 & 1 \end{vmatrix}

=\frac{1}{2}\left [ -2(2+8)+3(3+1)+1(-24+2) \right ]

=\frac{1}{2}\left [ -20+12-22 \right ] = \frac{1}{2}[-30]= -15

Hence the area is equal to |-15| = 15\ square\ units.
