We know that 

Area of circle is = \pi r^2

\Rightarrow \pi r^2 = \frac{22}{7}\times \left (5 \right )^2 =\frac{550}{7} \ cm^2

Therefore, the area of the circle is  \frac{550}{7} \ cm^2
