y = x \cos x
Now, differentiation w.r.t. x
\frac{dy}{dx}= \cos x + x(-\sin x ) = \cos x-x\sin x
Now, the second-order derivative is
\frac{d^2y}{dx^2}= -\sin x-(\sin x+x\cos x) = -2\sin x - x\sin x
Therefore, the second-order derivative is \frac{d^2y}{dx^2}= -2\sin x - x\sin x
