             BINARY FISSION                 MULTIPLE FISSION

1. An organism divides into two similar organism

3. Prokaryotes mostly reproduce by this process.

4. It generally occurs in optimal conditions.
   example- Amoeba

1. An organism produces two or more organism

2. A cyst or thick layer is formed around the cell.

3. Common form of reproduction in protists.

4. It can take place in any condition.
 example- malarial parasite, Plasmodium.
