This can be solved as follows

(ii) A \cap ( A \cup B ) = A

   A \cap ( A \cup B ) =  (A \cap A) \cup ( A \cap B ) 

   A \cap ( A \cup B ) =  A \cup ( A \cap B )                          {  A \cup ( A \cap B ) = A  proved in 9(i)}

   A \cap ( A \cup B ) =   A
