\\2a + 8b + 10 - c = -3a + 7b + 16 \\c = 2a + 8b + 10 - (-3a + 7b + 16) \\c = 2a + 8b + 10 + 3a - 7b - 16 \\c = (2 + 3)a + (8 - 7)b + 10 - 16 \\c = 5a + b - 6

5a + b - 6 must be subtracted from 2a + 8b + 10 to get -3a + 7b + 16
