The colour of copper sulphate solution change when an iron nail is dipped in it because iron  displaces copper from copper sulphate forming iron sulphate, which is green.

CuSO_4(aq)+Fe(s)\rightarrow FeSO_4(aq)+Cu(s)

The colour change from blue to green.
