According to the BODMAS rule, in this question, $$
10×[6+(-2)] = 10×6+10×(-2)
$$ 

First, solve inside the brackets- $$
6+(−2)=6−2=4
$$ $$
10\times4=10\times6+10\times(−2)
$$

Then, perform multiplication- $$
40=60+(−20)
$$

Now addition- $$
40=60+(−20)= 40
$$ $$
\text {LHS} = \text{RHS}
$$
