Initial equivalents \(=0.06 \times 0.05=0.003\)

Final equivalents \(=0.042 \times 0.05=0.0021\)

Equivalents adsorbed \(=0.003-0.0021=0.0009\)

Mass adsorbed \(=0.0009 \times 60=0.054 g=54 mg\)

Per gram charcoal \(=54 mg \div 3 g=18 mg / g\)

18 mg of acetic acid adsorbed per gram of charcoal.
