Let the number of boys be x, then the number of girls is x+7. Given the total number of students are 41

Therefore

x+x+7=41

2x+7=41

2x=41-7

2x=34

x=34/7

x=17

Number of boys = 17

Number of girls= 17+7=24

The ratio of the number of girls to that of boys is 24:17
