Answers (1)

a) When a charged particle oscillates with some frequency, so, it produces an oscillating electric field in space which further produces an oscillating magnetic field and thus, in turn, is a source of electric field and this process goes on and hence, an electromagnetic wave propagates in the space.

b)

  • Electromagnetic waves are transverse in nature.
  • Electromagnetic waves do not get deflected by an electric or magnetic field.
