a) Two characteristic features of a wheat flower are :

i) They often possess well-exposed stamens so that the pollens are easily dispersed into wind currents, and large often-feathery stigma to easily trap airborne pollen grains.

ii) Pollen grains are light and non-sticky so that they can easily be transported through wind currents.

b) Yes, as pollen grains are stored for years in liquid nitrogen (-1960C) and such stored pollen can be used as pollen banks, similar to seed banks, in crop breeding programs.
