(a) Difference Between acquired trait and Inherited traits

Number Basis of Difference Acquired traits Inherited traits
1. Nature of traits These traits are acquired by a person from his environment These traits are inherited by the person from his parents
2. Transfer of trait These traits do not have to transfer in the next generation. Eg - Knowledge, skill etc

These traits transfer in the next generation.

Eg - Eye colour height etc.

(b) Two Characteristics of Body

1. Analogous organs

2. Homologous Organs

These characteristics are used to find evolutionary relationships, the structure of forelimbs are similar between human and birds this shows the closeness of species in evolutionary terms.

The forelimbs, having similar structure and similar organ functions differently in human and birds as per their need, these are called Homologous Organs.

Other hands, when the different animal, having a different structure, functions similarly these are called analogous. Eg - wings of birds and wings of insects.
