A man pushes a vehicle by sitting inside the vehicle. The vehicle does not move. While when he came outside the vehicle and pushed the vehicle moved. Why

When the man is sitting inside the force acting is internal. To move the vehicle an external unbalanced force is required (Newton's first law of motion). When he comes outside an external unbalanced force is applied and the vehicle moves.
