(a) Double displacement Reaction \rightarrow Reaction in which there is an exchange of ions between the reactant are called

double displacement Reaction

Eg.\underset{(aq)}{Pb(NO_{3})_{2}}+\underset{(aq)}{2KI}\rightarrow \underset{yellow \; pp}{PbI_{2}(\downarrow)} +\underset{(aq)}{2KNO_{3}}

(b) (1) Reaction taking place is combination reaction. A reaction in which two or more reactants combine to form a single product is known as combination Reaction.

CaO (S)+ H_{2}O(l)\rightarrow \underset{(aq)}{Ca(OH)_{2}}+Heat

Quick lime                                    (calcium hydroxide)

(III) Two main observations : Calcium oxide when reacts vigorously with water produces slaked lime eg. Ca(OH)_{2}. A large amount of heat is evolved. This is an Exothermic reaction.
