A wire is bent in the form of a square occupies an area of 196 meter square. if the same wire is bent to form a circle, find the area occupied.

Answers (1)

Let the length of side of square = s
\\\text{Area of square }= s² = 196\ m^{2} \\ s = \sqrt{196} = 14m

Perimeter of square = 4 x 14 = 56m
Since, length of wire doesn't change, perimeter of the circle is also 56 m

\\or, \\ 2\pi r = 56 \\ 2\times {22}/{7}\times r = 56 \\ r = (56\times 7)/(2\times 22) = 8.9 m
