a) Opioids : These are obtained from Papaver Somniferum .
Canabinoids : These are obtained from Cannabis sativa

OPIOIDS
RECEPTOR SITE- Opioids are the drugs, which bind to specific opioid receptors present in our central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract.
EFFECT- They act as a depressant and slows down body functions. They cause liver damage, brain damage, bloating and abdominal pain.
 

CANNABINOIDS
RECEPTOR SITE- Cannabinoid receptors are present principally in the brain.
EFFECT- They affect the cardiovascular system of our body.
