An example of working model in maths is Harmonograph

A harmonograph is a basically used to create geometeric image of pendulum. It is used to create image of drawing which are complex.

The use of this  device is at peak in 19th century. There is doubt who invented this but Hugh Blackburn is commonly believed to the inventor.

A  pintograph is special modification of harmonograph.
