Private Quelch was a trainee in army training camp who seems to know a lot on anything. He was a show off who often would use his knowledge to prove himself better than other trainees in army. However, his trainees and teacher didn't like this habit of his. As a result of his one sided perspective, he didn't know that other people are feeling disturbed by this habit of his. All the time when he boast of himself and tries to take place of the teacher to show off how better he is at learning or to teach others how to peal potatoes. The teacher was giving him punishment.
