R. K. Narayan 's biography

Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Narayanswami is famously known as R. K. Narayan. He is an Indian writer. He was born on tenth October Nineteen Hundred six in Madras Presidency during British India.  He died on thirteenth May Two Thousand and one  in Chennai, Tamilnadu in India.

He writes stories that are fiction, non fiction and based on mythology. He was passed out from Maharaja's College, Mysore. He was awarded with Padma Vibushan, Padma Bhushan,  Sahitya Akademi Fellowship and Benson medal. He was known for his work on English Literature. He was famous for his stories on South Indian Fictional Town Malgudi.

His book on The Bachelor of Arts is about adolescents. This book was inspired by his experiences at college. It talks about transition of adolescent mind to adulthood and heartbreak an adult faces. His story about a character Chandran who is an upper middle class young person born in pre independence era. The story is about his college life and how he met a girl and fell in love with her. Although, the bride's parents rejected him because according to his kundali he was manglik. Malathi the girl is then married to someone else as she might die in this marriage as a Manglik shouldnot marry a Non-Manglik.

Chandran is heartbroken by this and starts living on street's.hungry, dillusioned  and full of seld pity, he went from one place to another. He then becomes a sanyasi. After eight months on roaming on streets as a sanyasi  he finally missed his parents and decided to get a job as a newsagent. His father brought for him the proposal of aagirl whom he decided to marry thinking of the discomfort he has cost them. Later, he fell in love with that girl. This was the book review of his story.
