$\theta = 40 ^{\circ} = \frac{2\pi \times 40}{360} = \frac{2\pi}{9} \ radian \\\\ $ Arc length $ (r \theta) =18 \ cm\\ r = \frac{18 \times 9}{2 \pi } \ cm \\\\ $ Area of the sector $ = \frac{\theta }{360 } \pi r^2 \\\\ = \frac{40 }{360 } \pi (\frac{18 \times 9}{2 \pi})^2 \\\\ = 232 .04 \ cm^2$
