best_answer

Given the mass of Sulphur = 16 g

The molecular mass of the Sulphur molecule = 8 x 32 = 256 g.

The number of moles of Sulphur molecule :

=frac16256

=0.0625:moles

Now

Number of molecules in 1 mole = 6.022	imes 10^23 molecules

So,

The number of molecules in 0.0625 moles = 0.0625	imes6.022	imes 10^23 molecules.

                                                                    =  3.76375	imes 10^22 Molecules.

Hence there are 3.76375	imes 10^22 Sulphur molecules in  16 g of solid sulphur.
