The formula for the Value of g when h < < R is given as

          g'=g(\frac{ R}{R+h})^2=g(1+\frac{h}{R})^{-2}

         So g'=g\left [ 1-\frac{2h}{R} \right ]

Here  h=100 km

\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow g^{\prime}=9.8\left(1-\frac{2 \times 100}{6400}\right) \\ \Rightarrow g^{\prime}=9.8\left(1-\frac{1}{32}\right)=9.49 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}^{2} \end{array}
