Short-sightedness or myopia is a defect of the eye. A person having myopia cant see the object at a long distance clearly but object near to eye can be seen clearly. This defect is due to the decrease in the focal length of the eye. Myopia can be corrected using a concave lens of appropriate focal length.
Long Sightedness or hypermetropia is the defect of the eye where the person can not see the nearby object clearly. The object at a long distance is clearly visible that object near to the eye. This defect is due to the increase in the focal length of the eye lens. This can be corrected using a convex lens of appropriate focal length.
