(i)p(x) = 6x^2 -7x -3\\ 6x^2 -7x -3 =0\\ 6x^2 -9x + 2x -3 =0\\ 3x(2x-3) + 1(2x-3)=0 \\ (2x-3)(3x+1) = 0\\ x = \frac{3}{2} \ or \ \ x =- \frac{1}{3}\\\\\ (ii) f(x)=2-x^2\\ 2-x^2 =0 \\ (\sqrt{2})^2 -x^2 =0\\ (\sqrt{2} -x)(\sqrt{2} +x ) =0 \\ x = \sqrt{2} \ \ or \ \ x = -\sqrt{2}
