\\ Let \ the \ distance \ of \ a \ school \ be \ x \ km$, then \\ \\ $\Rightarrow \frac{x}{3}-\frac{x}{4}=\frac{20}{60}$ $\Rightarrow \frac{x}{12}=\frac{1}{3} \Rightarrow x=\frac{12}{3}=4 km$
