$\csc \phi + \cot \phi = q \\ $ As we know $ \csc^2 \phi - \cot^2 \phi = 1 \\\\ ( \csc \phi - \cot \phi)( \csc \phi + \cot \phi) = 1 \\\\ \csc \phi - \cot \phi = \frac{1}{\csc \phi + \cot \phi } = \frac{1}{q} \\ $ Hence proved$
