Solution: We know that: sec^x-tan^2x=1

herefore (secx+tanx)(secx-tanx)=1Rightarrow secx-tanx=1/p

Now,      secx+tanx=p;and;secx-tanx=1/p

(secx+tanx)+(secx-tanx)=p+1/p\ \Rightarrow 2secx=p+1/pRightarrow secx=p^2+1/2p

Hence , sinx=(p^2-1/p^2+1),tanx=p^2-1/2p
