Answers (1)

OB = \sqrt{15^2 + 15^2} = 15\sqrt2 cm

OB = \text{radius of circle / quadrant} = 15\sqrt2 cm

\begin{align*}\text{Shaded area}& = \text{Area of quadrant - Area of square} \\ & = \frac{1}{4}(3.14)(15\sqrt2)^2 - (15)^2 \\ & = 128.25 \text{ cm}^2 \end{align*}
