Is momentum always positive?

best_answer

No.

Momentum (P) is a vector quantity, and it is given by the product of an object's mass (m) and velocity (V).

i.e P=mV

It can be positive, negative, and zero as well.

For example, If the velocity of the object is negative, the momentum will also be negative

similarly, If the velocity of the object is positive, the momentum will also be positive.
