Let x number of bundles of the pen be there, then there is 15-x number of bundles of the pencil. The total number of pen and pencil are the same.
That is
8x=12(15-x)
8x=180-12x
20x=180
x=9
That is there are 9 bundles of pen and 6 bundles of pencil
