In one hour :

Tank Filled by A = 1/5
Tank Filled by B = 1/6
Tank Empty be C = 1/12

If three pipes are combined then tank filled in one hour =1/5 + 1/6 - 1/12= 17/60
17/60 of tanked filled in one hour.
So time taken to fill tank = 60/17 * 1= 3.5 hours
